Canonical: https://resumark.app/compare/resumark-vs-teal/

Updated 18 October 2026

**Short answer:** Pick **Teal** if you want a resume builder and a job tracker in one web app, with a Chrome extension for saving jobs and a generous free plan. Pick **Resumark** if you want to match and tailor your resume on iPhone and iPad as well as the web, approve every AI change, and pay less for the paid plan: Resumark Pro is $2.99/week or $9.99/month, Teal+ is $13/week or $29 per 30 days (October 2026).

Disclosure: Resumark is our product. Teal facts below come from Teal's own website and help center, checked in October 2026 and linked under Sources.

## How each tool approaches matching

Teal's matching works around a saved job. Once you save a job (often with its Chrome extension), Matching Mode compares it with your resume and shows a Match Score. Keywords are colour-coded: red means the keyword isn't anywhere in your resume, yellow means it is in your master resume but switched off for this version, and green means it is already on the resume. The free plan shows a limited set of keywords; all keywords from the job description are a Teal+ feature.

Resumark works from a pasted job post. You get a 0–100 match score with matched and missing keywords and a short list of strengths and issues. One tap tailors the resume: Resumark rewrites the headline, summary and relevant bullets in the employer's wording. You see each change and approve or skip it, and Resumark only adds skills you confirm you have.

Both tools take the same honest line: add a keyword only when it is true for you. Teal's help center says so directly, and Resumark enforces it by asking before it adds a skill. The practical difference is the workflow. Teal suits people who keep a big master resume and switch content on and off per job. Resumark suits people who want the AI to do the rewrite and then check it line by line.

## Where Teal wins

- **Job tracking.** Teal's free plan includes unlimited job tracking, with goals, notes and application statuses. If you are managing dozens of applications, this is a real advantage.
- **Chrome extension.** Save jobs from job boards straight into Teal.
- **Generous free plan.** Unlimited resumes, 10 templates and PDF export without paying, plus a basic Match Score.
- **Master resume workflow.** Keeping every bullet you have ever written in one place and toggling them per job is a good fit for people with long, varied careers.

## Where Resumark wins

- **iPhone and iPad.** Resumark has native iPhone and iPad apps plus a web app on one account. Teal's own 2026 roundup of resume apps lists Teal's platforms as web and a Chrome extension, with no iOS or Android app.
- **Hands-off tailoring with review.** One tap rewrites the parts of the resume that matter for the job, and you approve each change. You don't have to build a master resume first.
- **Price of the paid plan.** Resumark Pro is $9.99/month or $2.99/week (US App Store). Teal+ is $29 per 30 days or $13 a week; its 90-day plan ($79) is the cheapest way to buy Teal+.
- **Getting started from anything.** Import a PDF, Word file, a photo of a printed resume or pasted text, or have the AI draft a resume from rough notes.
- **Offline health check.** Resumark's resume health checklist runs instantly and offline, and PDF export happens on your device.

## Templates and ATS-friendly output

Resumark's six [templates](https://resumark.app/templates/) are all single-column, use real text and standard headings, and switch without retyping; you pick an accent colour. Teal offers 10 templates on its free plan and more design controls on Teal+. If you want a graphic or two-column design, neither is the strongest choice; see our [roundup of AI resume builders](https://resumark.app/compare/best-ai-resume-builders/) for Enhancv and Kickresume.

## Pricing in detail (checked October 2026)

**Resumark:** the editor, templates, health check and PDF export are free, and your first job match is free. More matches, tailoring, rewrites, drafts and cover letters need Resumark Pro, a weekly ($2.99) or monthly ($9.99) subscription in the iPhone app (US App Store prices).

**Teal:** the free plan includes unlimited resumes and job tracking, 10 templates, basic analysis and limited AI credits. Teal+ costs $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days, and unlocks all job keywords, more templates and design controls, and unlimited AI. Plans renew automatically until cancelled.

## Who should pick which?

**Choose Teal if** you mainly job-hunt on a laptop, you want your resume and your job pipeline in one place, and you like curating a master resume.

**Choose Resumark if** you want to tailor and send resumes from your iPhone or iPad as well as a browser, you would rather have the AI propose a rewrite that you approve, or you want a cheaper monthly plan.

**Use both if** you like Teal's tracker: keep your pipeline in Teal and do the matching and tailoring in Resumark.

**Neither, for now, if** you want an Android app: Resumark has no Android app yet and Teal lists none. Kickresume does.

**Tailor your resume to a real job post.** Paste it in, see your score, and approve each change. Your first match is free.

### Is Resumark cheaper than Teal?

On a monthly basis, yes: Resumark Pro is $9.99/month and Teal+ is $29 per 30 days (October 2026). Teal's free plan is broader, though, so if you only need the free tiers, compare what each includes.
